When I first decided to get healthy, I thought just eating healthy made me lose weight. I was wrong! For my body type to lose weight I needed to stay under 500 calories a day. Just eating 1 big plain potato is 400 calories alone. Adding on the toppings would go over my daily limit. That was not an option for me. By measuring I learned that I could eat 8 oz of steak and 2/3 cup of broccoli and the calories were only 412. I was starving myself by not understanding this concept!
